The Pause 2026:

Beyond the Hustle

A sold-out evening that brought our community together for honest conversations about slowing down, reconnecting, and supporting one another.

THE VISION

Why We Created The Pause

The Pause was born from a simple belief: everyone deserves a space to step away from the pressure of constant productivity.

In a world that celebrates being busy, we wanted to create an event that celebrated being present.

Our first event invited attendees to reflect, connect, and engage in conversations that often don’t happen in everyday life. It wasn’t about networking for the sake of networking—it was about creating genuine human connection.

What The Evening Held

Meaningful Conversations

A keynote and open panel set the tone for the evening — honest reflections on burnout, ambition, and what it really means to slow down, followed by discussion that pulled the whole room in.

Community

Connection

Between sessions, attendees lingered over shared tables and quiet activities designed for real conversation — no pitch decks, no elevator speeches, just people getting to know each other.

Local Business Support

The night doubled as a showcase for local vendors and sponsors, whose generosity funded the swag, food, and space that made the evening possible.

what people said

Straight From The Room

"The Pause creates an environment of warmth and openness, where I could approach my habits with a sense of curiosity and not judgement. I really appreciated the conversational environment, it made it feel less like a lecture and more like a real discussion. Leaving the experience, I felt that future challenges will be more manageable with the additional tools in my toolbox."

— Julie Plummer

"The Pause was a genuinely meaningful time and space for some reflection and connection over how we experience life. The open conversations were engaging and the topics so relevant, it permitted us to focus inward for the evening, something that can seem challenging in our VUCA world."

— Sherri Dockree

"I recently attended a workshop called The Pause and really enjoyed it. I liked that people shared their stories and were willing to give personal experiences, it was nice that the speakers allowed for that rather than keeping it rigid. I came away with some helpful strategies that I'm excited to start using to improve my work/home balance."

— Jennifer Walker

"The group participation really showed the need for information and education around the subject."
